Circuitous is a short, experimental film inspired by and referencing the 1928 André Breton novel, Nadja. The film follows two solitary characters, appearing simply to be walking aimlessly through a gloomy evening on Montjuïc in Barcelona. Gradually the narrative grows darker facilitated by an original score made in collaboration with Matthew Wishart. The characters, who until the final moments appear consistently alone, convey a sense of agitation and alienation; of loss and melancholia.
